Teaching and Instruction

I value instruction as a critical part of my academic career, which is reflected in my experience and interactions with students. I have earned degrees in both Biology and Education, and I actively embrace evidence-based pedagogical tools, including experiential learning, writing across the curriculum, scaffolding of assignments, collaborative peer review, active learning via recorded lectures and in-class applications, and others. I have been fortunate to create and assess many of my own introductory and advanced courses, as well as working as a collaborative team in designing and implementing standardized coursework to meet key learning objectives.
